This date paste can be used in many desserts as a sweetener. I like to add a little on top of plain vegan yogurt for a not-too-sweet treat. You might even consider adding some toasted coconut and chocolate chips to create a yogurt parfait!
Cardamom Spiced Date Paste
Equipment
- High-speed blender
Ingredients
- 1 cup Dates pitted
- 1 cup Boiling water
- 2 oz Light rum optional
- ½ tsp Ground cardamom
Instructions
- Place the dates and boiling water in a high-speed blender. Let sit for about 10 minutes so the dates can soften.
- Add the rum if using and ground cardamom. Blend until smooth.
